Starting this notebook

For years my notes lived in half-finished text files and the margins of printouts. Useful to me for about a week, then gone.

So this is the fix: one small place, mine, where the notes have to be finished enough to read. Writing for someone else forces a clarity that writing for yourself never does.

Expect posts about software mostly, because that is what I spend my days on. Expect the occasional detour into everything else.
